On December 14, 2018, at the close of the two-day VI International Forum for the PLA promotion of LEGAL SERVICES at Premier Palace Hotel the winners of the legal Practice’s All-Ukrainian Research Program PLS Top Teams 2018 were traditionally announced.

The International Forum for the promotion of legal services and PLS Top Teams Awards Ceremony are two large-scale events that unveil the main secrets of the development and marketing of legal services. The research was focused on the achievements, case studies and innovations of law firms and their individual representatives in several areas.

This year Pakharenko and Partners was an absolute winner in the nomination “A most socially responsible law firm”.

Without a doubt, this is a highest recognition for the company’s managing partner and a president of the UAACP Antonina Pakharenko-Anderson and for Alexander Pakharenko, a partner at Pakharenko and Partners and a director of the Ukraine Alliance Against Counterfeiting and Piracy. It is an honor for the company and, at the same time, a great commitment to the firm itself and to the society.

We are grateful to The Legal Practice for such a high appreciation of our achievements aimed at promotion of legal services.

Always active social position of the company served as a catalyst of initiation in 2012 of a continuous campaign titled “Anti-Counterfeiting and Anti-Piracy Days in Ukraine” in Ukraine in cooperation with government authorities, Ukraine Alliance Against Counterfeiting and Piracy (UAACP), media and public. Certainly, our company did not expect that the continuous support of this awareness raising campaign will reach such a scale in six years and will become a part of life and philosophy for everyone working in the firm. Today, for Pakharenko and Partners corporate social responsibility is an entire concept helping the company improve their business reputation and establish a balanced and trusting relationship with both the state and society. Purchasing original goods in the first place means confidence in their health-safety, development of legitimate production, economic development and environmental protection. Each of us wants to change the world for the better, and we also want to be surrounded by original and quality goods.

During six years Pakharenko and Partners have been initiating, supporting and conducting more than 50 awareness-raising events for the representatives of government authorities, business, students, schoolchildren, media, not only in the capital of Ukraine but also in other major cities such as Lviv, Odesa, Vinnytsya, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Kharkiv. The number of participants of these events equals more than 15,000 persons.

In 2018 there were 15 awareness-raising events held under the slogan “I Buy Real! I Don’t Buy Fakes!” during which students, schoolchildren, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, customs officers and members of professional community, brewers, restaurateurs, manufacturers of fruit and berry products, hoteliers and many others said “NO” to counterfeits.

An important achievement of 2018 for Pakharenko & Partners was cooperation with the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. In particular, in cooperation with the Odessa Customs of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, an awareness-raising project was conducted which was named “RESPECT YOURSELF – DO NOT BUY COUNTERFEITS”. The company also supported the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and took part in the 3rd International Forum “INNOVATION MARKET”.

The company hopes that its social commitment will help bring respect for intellectual property rights among our fellow citizens and will raise awareness of the importance of protecting these rights among the government authorities, representatives of business and public.

This year Pakharenko and Partners received two more honorary awards and this victory has been earned by the team as professional players in the legal services market in Ukraine.

The company entered the silver league of the winners in the ranking of the leading departments responsible for promotion of legal services prepared by the All-Ukrainian research program PLS Top Teams and received the award in this nomination.
